Competitive Programs

All of the JAG Competition Programs are based on the USA Gymnastics Xcel and Development Programs (DP).  Our staff are committed to a positive learning environment for all of our athletes and we proudly support and follow the USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy.

Xcel TEAM

The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside of the Development Program, in order to attract and retain a diverse group of athletes. The program gives an opportunity for athletes not previously involved with USA Gymnastics to enter a competitive program. The Xcel Program consists of 5 competitive levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond). After their first month of participation, Xcel members are expected to make an academic years’ commitment to the program. The cost for the Xcel Program is a monthly tuition, based on level.

USAG DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Team

USAG is the governing body of the sport of gymnastics in the United States. It is the gymnastics world’s version of the NBA or NFL. Additionally, USAG is responsible for the selection of the Olympic Team and runs the Development Program. Levels 3-5 are compulsory levels (everyone performs the same routines on all 4 apparatus) and Levels 6-10 are optional levels (each athlete performs different routines that meet specific requirements). USAG’s Development Program is highly demanding. Because of the levels of precision and difficulty required to execute the routines, USAG gymnasts will train between 9 (lower levels) and 25 (higher levels) hours a week.
